THE SEASON OF GIVING CONTINUES……

Dear Friends of the Toronto Hong Kong Lions Club,

The Toronto Hong Kong Lions Club would like to thank you for your support in the past. The spirit of the Toronto Hong Kong Lions Club is to “Serve” others in need. As we are in the Chinese New Year Season, we are thinking of those who are in need. The Season of Giving continues…..

Chinese celebrate Chinese New Year with meals and traditional Chinese food. If you are Chinese origin, you must have a favourite Chinese New Year dish. Meanwhile we are having a good meal to celebrate Chinese New Year, have you thought about those who need our help?

Given the current economic environment with inflation, high interest rate, cost of food, rent and other essentials, many have to turn to food banks for help. According to the information from Food Bank Canada website, the use of food bank is at all time high. In fact, 1 in 7 Canadians could be at risk of hunger and it is impossible to ignore. Behind those numbers are real people – families – with worries, fears, hopes and dreams of their own. Hunger is more common than we think…….it is a persistent problem in our community.

The Toronto Hong Kong Lions Club is reaching out to you to donate and contribute to a good cause during this Season of Giving. Your contribution will make a difference to many families in need during this season. Please consider making a donation.

Since December of 2022, we will match your donation up to $5000. Your donation and the matching from the Lions Club will be donated towards the Markham Food Bank.

On behalf of those who benefited from your donation, the Toronto Hong Kong Lions Club thank you for your support and generosity.

May you have a prosperous Year of the Rabbit!

Kung Hei Fat Choi!

Regards,

Toronto Hong Kong Lions Club
