Veteran Record Producer/Recording & Mixing Engineer – Rico Fung
Rico began his apprenticeship under jazz master Tony Carpio, which marked the beginning of his deep involvement in recording work. In the early 1980s, he furthered his professional training in multi-track recording techniques in the United States and studied mastering and vinyl cutting techniques in Japan. Returning to Hong Kong thereafter, he started the professional recording studios, Studio A and Studio S&R, collaborating with major record companies including WEA, CBS/Sony, PolyGram, Cine Poly and others. Apart from recording and production, Rico also participated in concerts, mixing, live recordings, and album releases, contributing extensively to music production.
Rico further took on the music production and distribution for the pop music duo Raidas in 1986, boldly appointing the novice lyricist Lin Xi at the time. Following the release of Raidas’ debut single EP, it immediately achieved platinum record sales (50,000 copies), becoming a sensation in the music industry at that time. His extensive collaborations spanned numerous Hong Kong and Taiwan pop stars, many of whom were top figures in the music and film industries, including the late Teresa Teng, Anita Mui, Roman Tam, Leslie Cheung, Danny Chan and Fong Fei Fei. Other familiar names he worked with include Sam Hui, Frances Yip, Paula Tsui, Deanie Ip, George Lam, Sally Yeh, Teresa Carpio, Chow Yun-fat, Jackie Chan, Sammo Hung, Vivian Chow, Anthony Lun, Tai Chi Band, Dave Wong, David Lui, Kris Philips, Ken Choi, Samantha Lam, Agnes Chan, Kit Man Mak, Teresa Cheung, Annabelle Lui, Kenny Ho, Willy Fung, and Dominic Chow, among many others.”
資深唱片監製/錄音師 – Rico Fung
Rico 師承爵士樂大師Tony Carpio開始與錄音工作結下不解之緣。隨後80年代初在到美國進修專業多軌錄音技術，以及在日本學習母帶Mastering 及唱片母片cutting技術。其後回港開設專業錄音室 Studio A及 Studio S&R 與各大唱片公司合作，當中包括WEA, CBS/Sony, 華星唱片，新藝寶等等。除錄音及監製工作之外，同時亦參與演唱會、混音及現場錄音，以及唱片發行等有關音樂製作的工作。Rico更加在1986年為流行音樂二人組合Raidas一手包辦其音樂製作、發行，大膽起用當時的填詞新人林夕；Raidas首張單曲EP推出後隨即達到白金唱片銷量（50000張） ,成為當時樂壇佳話。在眾多合作無間的港台歌星列上，當中不少是樂壇及影視圈內的頂尖藝人，其中包括已故的鄧麗君，梅艷芳，羅文，張國榮，陳百強和鳳飛飛，。其他熟悉的名字有許冠傑，葉麗儀，徐小鳳，葉德嫻，林子祥，葉蒨文, Teresa Carpio, 周潤發，成龍，洪金寶，周慧敏，倫永亮，太極樂隊，王傑，呂方，費翔，蔡楓華，林志美，陳美玲，麥潔文，張德蘭，雷安娜，何家勁，威利，周啟生…等等
