THKLC presents “The Good Voice” Charity Singing Contest
About Toronto Hong Kong Lions Club
The Toronto Hong Kong Lions Club is a non-profit social service charity organization established in Toronto, Canada in 1986 by a group of Canadian immigrants from Hong Kong. Over the years the Club made contributions to communities in need with no geographical or any other distinctions, namely, the earthquake-stricken areas in Haiti, Hospital for Sick Children, Mon Sheong Foundation and Hong Fook Mental Health Foundation in Greater Toronto Area. Furthermore, in the spirit of Lionism, the Club made donation to build a pavilion on Centre Island in Toronto providing shelter to visitors.
The Toronto Hong Kong Lions Club is one of the few social service charities operating with zero administrative fees. Through various charitable and fundraising activities, it continues to embody the spirit of Lions Club International by serving others. Among these activities, the charity fundraising gala is the annual highlight and key fundraising event. Each year, these fundraising efforts receive support from philanthropists from all sectors, ensuring that beneficiary organizations receive sufficient resources to develop and serve the public.
The beneficiary organization of this year’s fundraising event is The Cross-Cultural Community Services Association (TCCSA). For more than four decades, TCCSA has been assisting thousands of new comers to settle and integrate into the Canadian society each year. To enhance the well-being and resilience of diverse communities by strengthening competencies and fostering participation through effective and professional human services.
